Cultural Night was a success |
Hello to yawl-
Hi so we are busy again and I just skyped my mama yesterday woot woot but here are a few highlights of the week:
THE CULTURAL NIGHT WAS SO FUN- we STRESSED OUT about it but it turned out great. Not quite "District 3" worthy but it was close. Saturday morning after teaching a very sweet family from China about the Plan of Salvation (they were just visiting this weekend and came to church Sunday) we went to the Barrera's and I helped her make flan, pollo en Barbacoa, and yummy yummy salsa! And in the other kitchen Hermana Brown and Hna Roque made bread pudding, pazole, and then some mac n
beef for lunch. :) It was AWESOME. We set up decorations with the hermanas and the elders and then Sunday sister Collins came to help us all set up the tablecloths and get everything ready. We prepared a tour which didn't happen but it's okay because we have it all prepared now, but lots of people came and lots of food came. Many many prayers were said and answered! There were about 10 non-members and another un-remembered handful of less-active members and a lot of members. Also Hermano Roque sang "Mamacita" to us in Spanish for Mother's Day and that was way fun.
English class is going well. We have had new people every time but every time it has been good! We help them with pronunciation, writing, "real life" situations, and whatever other questions they have aside from the lesson for that day.
That's it for today because we have to leave right now but to Emma: hi I love you and I hope you had a good birthday and have fun on your new tramp and good luck with your stuff and did you get the shirt I sent you?
Andrew: it was good to skype you, you are funny and nice and a good brother.
Dad: thank you for your hard work and diligence!!!!!
Mama: well you already got a long email and I don't have time to email the rest of them so yeah here you go.
Castleton's: thank you for Skyping with me I love you muchooo
I can surely testify that I know the church is true and that Jesus Christ lives and the resurrection is the greatest thing that brings
the greatest hope and peace and joy because with out it we are miserable forever. But, Christ suffered, died, and was resurrected and
it's truth that he lives again and visited the Americas and we have record of it. It is simply true!
I love the gospel, have a great week.

I (helped) make the chicken that is on the pot where Hna Barrera (in white) and Hna Brown made the one that's closer by Hna Roque (in blue). And what made flan, salsa and bread pudding! |

Hermana Sorto brought food from El Salvador and Nicaragua and Hna Hernandez (closest to camera) brought her famous tacos which were awesome |
